Understanding Lab Costs for HRT: Insurance, Self-Pay & What to Expect
At Cura Health & Hormone, we want every patient to feel informed and empowered—not surprised—when it comes to the cost of labs related to hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
Can labs be run through insurance?
Yes! We’re happy to submit your labs through insurance whenever possible. I personally plug in all appropriate ICD-10 diagnostic codes in an effort to get your labs covered. That said, every insurance plan is different, and we can’t guarantee coverage or reimbursement. Once labs are submitted through insurance, we can’t go back and reverse or reprocess them, so it’s important to understand that final costs are determined by your insurance provider—not Cura.
If you'd rather avoid any surprises or deductibles, we also offer straightforward self-pay pricing:
🔹 Starting HRT labs: $200
🔹 Follow-up HRT labs: $150
These labs include a comprehensive look at hormones, thyroid function, and key metabolic markers—so we can treat the root cause, not just the symptoms.
Whether you’re using insurance or choosing self-pay, we’re here to walk you through the process and help you feel confident about the next step.
